Goodbye Rockie

A few posts back I wrote about Aron and how he was friends with one of the "older" coach's(Rockie) throughout high school ball. Well last night we got a call that he was in the hospital. Aron and a few of the players were going to go to see him today.
This morning he got a call that Rockie passed away early this morning. Please keep the team and Rockie's family in your prayers.

Time to move on

This is Rockie and Aron. Rockie is 90 years old. He has been such a insperation to Aron while playing ball for the past two years. Aron loves this guy. He's such a wonderful man. When I asked him if I could take a picture of him and Aron he was like sure and if you ever decided that you don't want him anymore let me know, I'll take him. He has been with team for years and with Aron for his sophmore year and junior year plus 1 year of summer ball. I had to get a picture of them because he is someone that Aron will never forget!

A few weeks ago Aron came to us and told us that he didn't want to play baseball anymore. He knows that he is good but not good enough for the Major league's. He is ready to move on. We are very supportive of his desicion.

I just can't believe the changes that are happening in his life. Ever since he gave his life to Christ he has really changed. Not that he was ever a "bad" kid but he is making the changes on his own. He has been out looking for a job and I am so proud of him for that. He is growing up. In just 4 short months he will be 18 years old and in 11months he will graduate from high school. Where has the time gone?

I can't wait to see what the future holds for him. We are so proud of the man that you are becoming. We love you!!

It was a great day

A card from the boys!! LOVED IT!!!

First I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who called, texted, and came by today to express their happy wishes to me today. I had a wonderful day!

I recieved lot's of cards, gifts and flowers!! I am truely blessed to have such wonderful family and friends near and far. I love you all.

Dave took me to dinner at Red Lobster! YUM!! We had a wonderful time alone just chatting without any interuptions. Then we went to Barnes and Noble to pick up a few books. Of course I had to have my favorite ice cream from Baskin Robbins, Mint chocolate chip! We then headed home to find all the boys sitting on the couch relaxing.

I was welcomed to a bouquet of fresh picked flowers from Noah's garden. And a card with some chocolates. Such a beautiful bouquet!

Me: "Who put these together?"
Marcus: "Noah's grandpa."
What thoughtful boys!! After I get done opening the card and hugging and kissing my boys with a heart warm felt "thank you" they all say "Okay we can get back to our poker game now"

Then they all pull out their chairs with all their poker chips and cards on them and put them back on the table.

Funny thing was I guess Dave was suppose to call them to let them know that we were coming home. But he forgot. So when they heard the garage door go up they quickly put everything on their chair and placed the stuff on the table like so then jumped on the couch like they had been there all along.

Sneaky boys I tell ya, sneaky!!

Happy Birthday To Me

The Season Is Over

Michael at bat
Michael pitching

Marcus in the outfield

Marcus up to bat for the last time!
Well I can't say that the season went by slow cause it didn't! It flew like a lot of the balls that were hit this season. Yes, I know I kept you up to date on most of the games but I just got really busy there at the end and didn't keep up, and before I knew it we were done.
Here's is are some pictures of the boys up to bad and playing ball. Marcus swing the bat for the last time ever....hitting a double and making it home.
No more little league for him. Just Michael is left to play and I know that it is going to go by a lot faster then I want it to. That is just the way life is.
Stay tuned for updates and pictures of Aron as he is still playing summer ball. Michael will start football soon and with Marcus on the Varsity Football team this year I will have lot's to post.

Bird Poop

Okay so some of you will find this funny and other may not. I however found it disgusting H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S.
The other night we were at Marcus's baseball game. Michael was sitting in my chair and I went over to the other team to talk to one of the other mom's.
When I came back Michael asked me if I have ever been pooped on by a bird. I looked at him kind of funny and said no, why?
He said cause look, a bird pooped on my shirt (yep there was a smeared stain) I started to laugh and then he saidAND it pooped on my head. I was laughing so hard!
The coaches wife was sitting up on the hill just behind us and Michaels says the coachs wife said "that bird just pooped on you" "Do you need a napkin?" Michael said "It did?" So she brought Michael a napkin. I just could not stop laughing. I don't know why it struck me that funny but it did. I'm sure it wouldn't of been so funny if the bird had pooped on me!!
