Vipers Game #4 We got slaughtered!?!?

Oh what a day. Today we ran around. We had a lot of things to do and barley made it for basketball pictures at 11:30. Then we had more running around to do and had a game at 1pm. What a game.
The poor kids got slaughtered! 13 to 30. It was a good game but those poor kids just didn't have their heads in the game. A lot of them were sick to though so they really had their heads under the water. Oh well, maybe they will win next weekend.

Shot Thru The Butt

When Michael got his shot in the butt he was less then thrilled when they were done. He was a very good sport about it and had only a few tears. The nurse who gave it to him felt so bad. She keep on saying she was sorry. Michael would not look at her. He just wanted out of there. So on the way home I was trying to cheer him up. Anyone remember that song by Bon Jovi Shot Thru The Heart? Well here's what I was sining to him to the beat of that song.

Shot thru the butt and your to blame
you give me a lot of pain.

He was soon laughing and forgot about the pain.......until he sat down.

Vipers #3

Michael is feeling a lot better today. They had a late game so we went ahead and let him play.
He didn't play a whole lot in the game but that's okay. He made one basket. It is so amazing how these kids run up and down that court. I'm not sure I would even make it from one end to the other. They played a good very close game, but they lost. 21 to 17. Better luck next time Vipers!

Vipers #2

Last night was Michael's 2nd basketball game. The poor guy didn't get to play since he has strep throat. He was bummed. I knew he wasn't feeling well and waited a couple of days. Friday morning he woke up with a fever, stomach pain, and sore throat. So I made him a dr apt. Sure enough he has it. They gave him the choice of either pills for 10 days or a shot. He opted for the shot. The Dr said that he would be ready to play the game on Saturday if he was up to it. So he missed the game last night. The ended in a tie 12 to 12 Way to go Vipers!

State Champs

Well Marcus played in a basketball tournament today. They played for the lower school (which mean smaller) championship. I forgot my camera and could just kick my self! Anyway it was a nail bitter. They won by ONE point. It was a good close game. Way to go Franklin Falcons!?!?!?

Michael's Day

Well this past Saturday was Michael's day. It is his first year playing basketball so I tried to make it a fun day for him. First we got up early and I made him breakfast. Then we were off to the opening day where the kids got their uniforms. They had a former Phoenix Suns player Mark West who came to talk to the kids. They had their mascot the gorilla, which was a huge hit. They also did a raffle and we won a autographed picture of a Suns player named Raja Bell. My boys are so excited. I need to go to the store and get a frame for it.
After opening day since Michael's game didn't start until 5:30pm we went to the store. We bought stuff for cupcakes and homemade pizza. We went home and made the cupcakes and also cooked the crust for the pizza so that way we could just make the pizza when we got home.
The whole family was there and also my dad and two sister, Sam & Alyssa came. After the game we came home and made the pizza and ate cupcakes.
It was a fun day. He did really well. I can't wait to see more games. He attempted to make 3 baskets. They were close but didn't quit make it. Maybe next time.

The Weather & A Worried Mom

We woke up to rain and snow showers this morning. More rain at my house then the snow. But the roads were icy. Well Aron had to ride the bus this morning since the weather was so bad plus he can't drive the jeep until he gets his math grade up. Well I send him off to the bus stop at 6:45am in the pouring rain. I feel so sorry for him. While getting the other kids ready for school the news on the radio comes on and says that Prescott is on a 2hr school delay. Since our principle lives in Prescott they go by the Prescott Unified School district schedule not the Humbolt School District. Anyway, I hear this loud crash and then a desiel truck running. It sounds like it's right outside my door. I look outside and for those of you who don't know where I live theres a hill that you have to come down and then it curves and we are the second house just around the curve. Well the house before us has a semi in the road and it's well... was pulling a huge tractor trailer and the tractor trailer in now in the neighbors yard and the semi is in the middle of the road, and where's the bus? Behind the tractor. There is no way that bus is going to be able to turn around. Oh my gosh the only thing I could think of was Aron standing in the rain. So I got into the car and drove down to the bus stop the other way which is about 7 house down. There he was waiting for the bus. All wet. Poor guy. So I got him to school and back to the house 20 minutes later to find the semi parked in front of my house and cops everywhere. The bus finally got to pass. I got my son to school on time and those on the bus were late. Not their fault I know but anyway. My poor neighbor just has had bad luck these past few months. First he lost his job then Marcus broke their window and now this.

Only In Arizona

It's a chilling 40 degress out. It's cold. It's raining and what are my boy's doing? Playing football, outside... some in shorts. There are 6 boys and only four are mine two are borrowed. But they are outside having fun. It's so cold though and I have no idea how they manage to play in that cold weather. I think I got frost bite standing out there taking the pictures. Anyway, I thought I would post some pictures of them playing. Where are they now you ask? They are all inside under blankets watching the football game drinking hot coco.

Sleepovers

Just had to post this. Marcus, Ryan and Michael all went to a friends house last night for sleepovers. Aron had two friends stay here so we just couldn't leave Jackie out. She had to have a friend come sleepover too. Actually we have a friend who lives around the corner and they have a dog named Kylie who we keep every once in awhile or her mom Marla will just come over to visit and bring Kylie and they play for awhile. Anyway, Marla called last night to see if I could keep Kylie over night since she had to go to Phx for work today. So here is a cute picture of the girls playing tug a war.

Guess what arrived

Okay mom here you go. Michaels card arrived today. Of course without the gift card.
It only took 10 days for it to get here. But it arrived no less.

Are you ready for this?

Okay Ryan has only ever had one style hair cut. This is because he has two swirlies going the opposite direction on the back of his head. His hair only grows one way. He has only had this hair cut style that is in the picture. Well Aron and Marcus are getting older and want a "stylist" to cut their hair. I found a really great lady who owns a beauty shop with another girl and Aron and Marcus both have been to Kathy. The other lady is Jessica. I like to take all 4 boys and just get it over with, that's why they all go to the barber. So anyway, Aron and Marcus went to get their hair cut and I just decided that Ryan and Michael would get their hair cut too. Since Jessica wasn't busy. Well she cut Michaels hair and it was Ryan's turn. She asked me what I wanted done with it and I said well what you see is what you get. I have never had anything else different done with it. I asked her what she wanted to do with it and she said she wanted to cut it all off. So I asked Ryan and he said that he didn't care. Well you know what's coming now. You guessed it. Off it all came!! He looks like a different kid. Much older which doesn't help me at all, cause that makes me older but then again what can you do for a boy who's 11 and in 6th grade?
So what's your vote? Long or spiky?

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008

Hard to believe that 2007 has come and gone. It never seems to amaze on just how fast time flies. I am convinced that after you graduate high school your foot somehow hits the fast forward button and your off. I can not wait to see what this year holds for us. I am looking forward to it. Although that means me getting older but that's okay. I've come to grips that there is no avoiding getting older.....ugh! LOL. I hope and pray that everyone has a very happy and healthy new year.

Psalm 118:24
"This is the day that the LORD has made; let us be glad and rejoice in it."
