Eating ice cream at Baskin Robins!!

It was such a beautiful day today. So after church Dave took Aron and Marcus golfing. I took Ryan and Michael goofy golfing and for ice cream. He has his glasses on because he can only wear them for so long each day working his way up to a full day. Anyway, Michael and I tied with a score of 46 each and Ryan scored a 52. We went to Baskin Robins my favorite place. I got a scoop of mint chocolate chip and chocolate and peanut butter. Ryan had cotton candy and wild sherbert. Michael had chocolate and rainbow sherbert.

A new look for Michael

Puttin the first contact in
Before with glasses

After with contacts

Yesterday Michael went for his yearly eye exam. While he plays sports we felt that it would be a lot earier for him if he got contacts. I wasn't to sure about the idea as the other boys had to wait until they were 13. He just turned 11. With a long talk with the eye doctor we decided to go ahead and let him try them. One condition was that he could put them in and take them out before we left the eye dr. I was a bit nervous on how he would do but he did great!! Took about 5 minutes to get the first one in and the second one he put in with no problem. He took them out like a pro and put them back in with no help and no problem. The Dr. was very impressed! I was very proud. I can't believe how much he's grown up. I guess my baby isn't really a baby anymore! Congratulations Michael, job well done.

Welcome back Kotter Tide

So long Sun!!!
Okay so I tried it. I didn't like it! It just didn't have that fresh clean smell that Tide has. For some reason I found myself putting a a full cup and a half into the washer to "make sure" that my clothes would get clean. Putting 6 towels in instead of 8.

Some shirts I hang to dry and they would always smell so clean when they were hanging. With Sun, they didn't.

Saturday I took all 9 of the bottles back. I got enough money back to buy 1, yes just 1 bottle of Tide.

It is SO worth it.I'm so glad to have Tide back with us.

Welcome back Tide, Welcome back

Family, Friends and Dogs....Oh My

My weekend....oh my weekend. Seven kids, 2 dogs and a quilt show!!

Well 4 of them are mine..hee hee. I had my friend's 3 kids for the weekend. I also had our neightbor's dog. It was a busy fun time.

Friday night we all went to Marcu's game. We left a little early to get dinner started and kid's bathed. They got to take a bath in my jacuzzi tub.

Saturday we had Little League pictures. Aron and Marcus helped friend's of ours move.

The kids and I ran around. We left the house and yes I made drug them to a Quilt Show. They had fun looking. The best part for them was the cookies!

It was a fun filled weekend!

Giants Win 12-8

Marcus had a game last night that I didn't go to. Dave said that he did really well. I'm guessing they all did cause they won 12-8

Padres win 6-0

Michael's game Tuesday was good. They played a really good game. Michael slid at home and was safe. They a kid from the other team hit the ball way to the out field. Michael was playing catcher. The kid runs to first, second, and is on his way home when the ball get's thrown to Michael and he catches it tagging the player at home. HE'S OUT!! We won 6-0

Tide Snob

There are some things that I just buy,not matter what. Tide is one of them.

One day when I was shopping the cashier says to me "oh your a tide snob, hu?"
A first I didn't understand what she meant by that. I asked her what she meant. She said your one those people who only buy tide. I call everyone who only buys Tide, Tide snobs.

I said well I guess I am then.

That was until today when I went to Fry's. For the first time in my life I bought something other then Tide.

A laundry soap called Sun. (i cant figure out how to put the picture here)
I remeber my friend Sarah asking me what kind of laundry soap I used and I said Tide. I buy nothing else. When I asked her what she bought she said whatever is on sale.
So with thing being as tight as they are I brought myself to buy what was on sale.
Here's what I saved.
Tide 150 oz on sale for $20.99(reg. $24.99)
Sun 78 oz. on sale for $1.88(reg. $4.99)
I bought 10 of them!!! I paid $18.80 for 780 oz of laundry soap.
If I bought 780 oz of Tide it would of cost me $125.94
Therefore I saved $107.14
Now that's impressive. Let's just hope it works.....LOL!!!!

My awesome deal

I had the most awesome deal today. Aron's ex girlfriend works at a store called Rue 21. She mailed me a discount card. It was 40% off your purchase. So I decided to take Aron, Ryan and Michael to get a few clothes for summer.

Aron got 2 pairs of shorts and 3 shirts
Ryan got 2 pairs of shorts and 4 shirts
Michael got 1 pair of shorts and 3 shirts

I saved more then spent!!!!

I saved $121

Go me!!! No I didn't get Marcus anything because 1 he was at a friends house and 2 the clothes there don't fit him. I'm so proud of myself.

On a happier note Padres win 13-3

Michael had a game this morning. It was a fun game. He played catcher. One good play was a kid from the other team runnig from 3rd to home got himself in a "pickle" The 3rd basemen and the pitcher were throwing the ball back in forth. Michael covering home. The 3rd basemaen threw it to Michael and he tagged him out.
They won the game 13-3

Giants lose 3-2 NOT by choice

Of all the years of watching my boys play Little League, I have never seen a game so intense and ALMOST end in fight. Until last night that is.
The game last night was one that we thought would never end. It was tied 2-2 for 7 innings. The umpire, whom we know personally through Little League is a flake and not really a good guy. His calls last night were somewhat fair. Neither good or bad for both teams. That was until the last play of the game.
Picture this....a guy on 2nd and 3rd. Two outs. The batter hits the ball and the guy on third runs home. He is a good 2 feet away from the base not even coming close to the plate. Marcus catches the ball and tags him "plain as day" O-U-T!!!
The umpire calls him S-A-F-E!!!
The crowd goes wild. Marcus throws off his mast and yells at the umpire, he's out. He clearly has the ball in his glove. He is in tears. As all this goes down people are yelling at the umpire. Our whole team aproches him, our coach comes running full speed up to him. I thought for sure he was going to deck him.
Dave has to come over and break everything up. The umpire doesn't act well either. He throws his mask at the fence and storms off.
It was one stressful game. The other team won by a poor call. But that's baseball.
